Nickel contact dermatitis. This itchy rash is a common allergic reaction to your skin coming into contact with nickel from perhaps nickel jewelry like watches or earrings, a metal snap on blue jeans, or a metal belt buckle. The lesions usually appear around the belly button but can also develop on the elbows and knees. Though general mild, they symptoms can be debilitating with prolonged exposure. Once you’ve had nickel contact dermatitis, you are susceptible to it occurring again so you should strictly try to avoid contact with nickel.
